“Liberia is committed to creating an enabling environment for responsible investment in our mining and energy sectors, ensuring that our natural resources are developed in a manner that delivers sustainable benefits to the Liberian people while protecting our environment and strengthening our national economy.”
Liberia Positioned for New Investment.
LIMEC 2026 comes at a time when Liberia is witnessing growing interest in its mineral and energy potential.
According to information from the event organizers, Liberia is entering a significant new investment cycle, with approximately US$3 billion in projected new investment, iron ore production expected to move toward 25–30 million tonnes annually, newly confirmed critical mineral opportunities, and a national target of achieving 75 percent renewable energy.
These developments position Liberia as an increasingly important destination for investment and partnerships in iron ore, critical minerals, renewable energy, energy efficiency, mining technology, infrastructure and related services.
The Ministry of Mines and Energy continues to work with relevant stakeholders to strengthen regulatory oversight, promote responsible mineral development, facilitate investment, and support the sustainable transformation of Liberia’s mining and energy sectors.
A Platform for Investment and Partnership
LIMEC 2026 will provide a platform for investors, policymakers and industry stakeholders to examine Liberia’s mineral wealth, energy opportunities and the technologies and services required to support the next phase of sector development.
The conference will also feature an exhibition component, providing companies and institutions with opportunities to showcase their technologies, products, services and investment solutions to participants from Liberia and the international mining and energy community.
The event has attracted sponsorship support from several companies operating in or supporting the mining and related sectors.
